Welcome to the Literary Giveaway Hop!
Giveaway Closed
This Giveaway Hop is hosted by Leeswammes. Head over to her blog to read more about it. There are almost 60 blogs taking part, and you can win books and goodies from each blog! The “catch”: these books are of a literary merit!
Now, since I’ve been itching for a giveaway, and because I love literature, and because I consider Leeswammes a great book-blogging pal, I’ve decided to go ALL OUT for this Giveaway. I’m offering FOUR giveaway packages – meaning there will be FOUR WINNERS! I’ll be choosing three books from the past four centuries (1700s, 1800s, 1900s, and 2000s) to giveaway to the four different winners – just pick the century you’re most interested in!
The Rules:
1. You must be 13+ years old with a valid shipping address (no P.O. Boxes).
2. You must be a blog follower – extra entries for following elsewhere too.
4. Winners will be picked at random.
5. You must fill out THIS FORM.
6. Earn +1 Entries for following @RoofBeamReader and for “Liking” Roof Beam Reader’s Fan Page (links on title bar above).
Winners have been e-mailed.
That’s it. Simple, right? The winner will have 48-hours to respond to the e-mail I send them. No response means I pick a new winner.
The Giveaway is open from February 18th-February 22nd (opening/closing at 11pm CST each day).
THE CENTURY PRIZE PACKS:
1700s Favorites
1. Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe
2. Gulliver’s Travels by Jonathan Swift
3. The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling by Henry Fielding
1800s Favorites
1. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
2. The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
3. Les Miserables by Victor Hugo
1900s Favorites
1. 1984 by George Orwell
2. Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
3. East of Eden by John Steinbeck
2000s Favorites
1. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon
2. Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides
3. The Road by Cormac McCarthy
So – there you have it! Some of my favorite books from four different decades. I hope the winners enjoy these as much as I did.
GOOD LUCK!

The Picture of Dorian Gray, I had to enter when I saw that it was in one of packs. Absolutely love that book!! =)
Thanks for the great giveaway.
Great idea for a giveaway!
Thanks for this awesome giveaway. I would love to win the 1800′s book collection. I’ve always wanted to read Dorian Grey
I have left on address on the form as a P.O. Box although the rules say not to.
The reason is that I stay in a rural area with no postal delivery to residences.
Please make an exception for me.
Thank you
I’ve been meaning to read a lot of these, but I’ve been so caught up in modern YA and haven’t had the chance to pick any of them up. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity
Thanks for giveaway, the 1800 package sound great.
Thanks for this generous giveaway opportunity. So many great books. Loving the 1800′s.

I think it’s cool you’re having four winners. Thanks for the giveaways.
Oh Adam, you outdid yourself again! What a fantastic giveaway!
Great packages, as usual, hard to choose.
I saw A Picture of Dorian Gray on tv a few weeks ago, which I enjoyed, but I’ll be d**ned if I enter for a package that contains Wuthering Heights (shudder)!
So I went for the 1900s, which is a brilliant selection, too, as I LOVE East of Eden but don’t own a copy and I really, really want to read Fahrenheit too.
Wuthering Heights is one of my favorite pieces of British Lit! Lol
I know I’m strange, Adam! I read the whole book a long time ago, and was OK with it, but when I tried again last year or so, I hated it and never finished. It’s me, not you.
Thanks for participating in the hop and for the giveaway opportunity. I like how you broke your favs into centuries. The older two look awesome to me as they contain many of my favs too.
What fantastic choices! I went for the 1700′s
Thanks for another so generous giveaway, Adam
When I saw The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, you had me. I ALMOST bought a copy the other day, but I had already gone over my self-inflicted book limit. Thanks for the generous giveaway!
The 1900′s books sound excellent and I have not read one of the them.
Thanks for the chance to win.
I’ve been wanting to read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time for some time so it’s the 2000s for me!
Wonderful idea for a giveaway (I should be so creative!). I had to go with 20th century as East of Eden has been on my read-it-someday list for what seems like forever. And while I’ve read Fahrenheit 451 and 1984, I can use new copies that aren’t yellowed and crumbled with age.
love to win this i just oh so love 2 read
Did you know that according to goodreads our taste in reading are 75% similar?!
Thanks for the giveaway!
That’s pretty good!
